Mary and John Betts
Michael, I remember my earliest recollection was when I first met you in 1958 (aged 11) at my grandmothers flat (Hearn) in Burn Jones House, West Kennsington with Horace and Shelia and several times thereafter. I remember you were always dressed extremely smartly and you were a true gentleman. I always remember that Horace used to sweep the chair with his handkerchief before you sat down. Great amusement but you were a good sport. And then we met in the late sixties and early seventies in the City of London when you worked for Bank of London and South America. It was a real pleasure to have known you personally. God bless. xxx
